Meet Captain Ron at MacRae's Marina and climb aboard his 22-foot FunChaser deck boat for a scenic cruise along the beautiful Homosassa River. Known as the Manatee Whisperer, Captain Ron will search the shoreline for manatees and look for the perfect opportunity for you to enter the water and experience these gentle giants up close.

Winter is the best time to see manatees in Homosassa, as they gather near Homosassa Springs to enjoy the naturally warm, year-round springs. Manatee season is November 15 through March 31. Captain Ron provides everything you need for your adventure, including wetsuits, snorkels, and masks, along with instructions to help you interact with manatees respectfully and safely.
